This piece was created using the technique of lino printing. The artist; Heinrich Toh was referenced in the process of creating this piece. He uses recurring images, as well as bright colours and patterns, in the style of Pop Art. He had inspired me to create a piece that resembles these qualities. The image of the boat was taken in Cheung Chau Island, Hong Kong, which became the recurring motif. I wanted to show the contrast between a quiet island and Cheung Chau with the busy city lights of Hong Kong which is represented with the bright neon colours that are used. View Larger
